A) How many years has the contractor been in business in the state of Texas under the present name? B) Will the contractor share at least 5 references from each year that the company has been in the remodeling business? C) How many projects and what types of projects has the company completed in the last 7 years? D) Is the company bonded and licensed in Texas, and if so, what is their license number? ( The smaller the number, the longer the company has been in business. Example: # 4,000 is old and # 750,000 is newer.) E) Do the company's owners conduct business under any other remodeling company names? F) Has the contractor or any partners ever filed bankruptcy or gone out of business? G) Will you have approved and been given the specific: proposal, all formal contract documents, final pricing, allowances, selections, project calendar, drawings/elevations, floor plans, permits, engineering, payment schedule, performance standards, binding arbitration and warranty BEFORE THE PROJECT STARTS?
